XR Institute s.r.o. (Extended Reality Institute) is one of the leading scientific and research organizations in the field of immersive technologies, virtual and augmented reality in the Czech Republic. Since 2019, we have been focusing on applied research, industrial research and experimental development where decisions are made about the future of education, training and technological innovations.
Our specialization is the development and validation of cutting-edge XR and VR solutions with real impact. We do not just build technology demonstrators - we create functional, proven and highly effective systems that connect science, research, user experience and practical use in practice. We operate across industry, logistics, healthcare, education, administration and security sectors.
In the field of immersive technologies, we focus on what is most important: truly deep immersion, which leads to an intensive experience, high user engagement and effective teaching according to the latest trends. This combination is the key to high memorability, faster acquisition of skills and their transfer to the real environment.
At the same time, we systematically research the impacts of VR technologies on users, including their health aspects and benefits, as well as the possibilities of their effective use in real practice. We precisely track, analyze and validate the outputs from the deployment of immersive technologies in order to create a solid data base for further development and determination of trends in education through XR. #mocPOmoc: When technology helps prepare society for moments when life is at stake
XR Institute is one of the founders of the #mocPOmoc initiative, which combines modern technology with practical first aid training and brings it to where it has the greatest social impact - to schools, cities, towns and communities. The initiative aims to increase people's preparedness for crisis situations and make quality, experiential training accessible even where it might not otherwise be easily available.

The main goal of the CITADELS project is to foster the development of human-centric Industry 5.0 in seven EU widening countries and strengthen their position in the DeepTech field.
Validation of a lower limb tracking system in virtual reality and its potential commercial use in healthcare - CZ.01.01.01/08/23_036/0005335
The main objective of the project is to develop a technology for tracking lower limb movements in virtual and augmented reality using sensors from Meta Quest 3 controllers. This innovative system will be primarily designed for rehabilitation purposes, enabling real-time monitoring and evaluation of patients’ movements.
